The document lifecycle
How a document is intended to travel
Bobby Receipts is designed around one path that every document follows, from the moment it arrives to the moment bookkeeping can take it. None of these steps are running yet.
This is the workflow Bobby Receipts is being designed around. It is a design sequence, not a demonstration of a working product — none of these steps can be performed today.
Step by step
The intended lifecycle
Step 1: Create a personal or company workspace
A workspace decides how much structure you get: plain categories for personal use, ledger accounts and approval for a company.
Step 2: Answer onboarding questions
A short set-up conversation is intended to configure the workspace before any document arrives.
Step 3: Upload incoming documents privately
Receipts and incoming invoices are added by you into your workspace.
Step 4: Review extracted details
Check what was read from each document and correct anything that is wrong.
Step 5: Select or confirm categories
Accept a suggested category or choose your own — including a ledger account in company workspaces.
Step 6: Run approval where it is enabled
Documents pass through the approval levels the workspace configured.
Step 7: Export or hand off
Send the reviewed, approved set onward to bookkeeping.

Arrival routes
How documents are expected to arrive
Only private upload is the initial direction. Every other route is planned and not connected; nothing here links an account.
Private upload
Initial directionManual upload of receipts and incoming documents into platform-managed storage is the first intended way documents arrive. It is being built; it is not usable yet.
